Comstock Inc. and its subsidiary Comstock Metals have received major precision-engineered equipment for their industry-scale solar panel recycling facility in Silver Springs, Nevada. The plant is designed to process up to 100,000 ton of end-of-life solar panels annually. Installation of the proprietary shredding and materials separation systems is currently underway. Commissioning activities will continue through March and early April 2026. The facility integrates advanced CAD-designed equipment for shredding, conditioning, and recovery of critical materials from solar modules. The company expects operations to begin during the second quarter of 2026. Comstock has also submitted its first operating permit application for a second industry-scale recycling facility planned in Clark County, Nevada. Earlier, Comstock Metals had secured PV recycling approval from DTSC, strengthening compliance for its solar panel recycling activities.
