Catalyze, a US-based independent power producer and developer of distributed renewable energy assets, has closed a tax equity financing with RBC Community Investments. The financing supports a 100 MW distributed PV portfolio comprising 18 projects located across New York, Illinois, California, and Virginia. According to the announcement, the PV portfolio includes a combination of community solar deployments and C&I rooftop PV installations. The supported assets are currently under development and under construction, with commercial operation dates expected between 2026 and 2027. Catalyze stated that the portfolio does not include BESS. The transaction extends an existing partnership between Catalyze and RBC Community Investments and follows a prior tax equity investment completed in April 2025 that supported a separate 75 MW distributed PV portfolio. CRC-IB served as financial advisor to Catalyze for the transaction.
