Catalyze, a US-based integrated developer and Independent Power Producer of distributed renewable energy, has secured $85 million in tax equity from RBC Community Investments. The investment will support construction of approximately 75 MW of commercial, industrial, and community solar projects across the US during 2025. The funding strengthens the ability of Catalyze to secure tax equity financing and expands its distributed generation portfolio to 300 MW. RBC stated that the transaction aligns with Catalyze’s effort to increase scalable solar infrastructure across commercial and community sectors within the country. Catalyze and RBC have an existing relationship in renewable energy financing, which this investment extends. Private equity firms EnCap Investments and Actis continue to support Catalyze’s renewable energy expansion strategy.
