The Pioneer Clean Energy Center, featuring a 300 MW PV with 300 MW / 1.2 GWh of BESS portfolio in the US, has been inaugurated by BrightNight, a US-based power infrastructure company. Recently, BrightNight and Cordelio Powerhave achieved financial close for this hybrid Pioneer plant. The Arizona-based installation has entered the construction phase in October 2025, and commercial operations are targeted for April 2027. Following commissioning, the site is estimated to supply annual electricity comparable to the demand of approximately 77,299 homes and businesses. The Yuma County asset is reported to deliver more than 900 GWh of electricity annually to Arizona Public Service customers. The deployment is anticipated to create approximately 250 to 300 construction jobs and generate an estimated $83.3 million in local and state property tax revenue over its lifetime. BrightNight will also construct an approximately nine-mile, 230-kilovolt generation-tie transmission line to connect the facility to existing grid infrastructure.
