Florida, USA-headquartered BrightNight, a global renewable energy company, has completed the 300 MW Box Canyon Solar Project in Arizona. The project was developed in partnership with Cordelio Power. It is the first operational project from their 2.5 GW Arizona portfolio. The project supplies clean electricity to Southwest Public Power Agency (SPPA) members. It marks the largest renewable energy procurement in SPPA’s history. Construction created over 300 jobs and generated $47 million in local economic impact. The project is expected to deliver $134 million in long-term economic benefits. It also provides $65 million in land lease payments to Arizona’s Land Trust. The project will generate 900,000 MWh annually for over 40 years.BrightNight, also won the 2025 CleanTech Award for its AI platform PowerAlpha.
