US-based D3Energy unveiled Utah’s first floating solar array last week, at the Signal Hill Water Treatment Plant, operated by Mountain Regional Water. According to D3Energy, the 600 kW system, developed with US-based Ameresco, will offset over 90% of the plant's power consumption. The array uses Hydrelio floating technology from France's Ciel & Terre, a leader in this field. In 2024, D3Energy installed what it claims to be Ohio's first floating array at Del-Co Water and the Southeast's largest system for Orange County Utilities.
