Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation, has gained approval for approximately 400 MW of solar energy projects. The approval includes three solar projects, with its first project, Vandalia Renewable Energy Center (50 MW), set for operation by 2025, followed by an acquisition Split Rail Solar (300 MW) and a self-owned Bowling Green Renewable Energy Center (50 MW) in 2026. Ameren Missouri could also develop a fourth project in Cass County (150 MW), Illinois, pending subscription under its Renewable Solutions Program. These projects can power around 73,000 homes. Ameren will utilize tax credits to lower costs, benefiting customers directly.
