US-based Ameren Missouri announced the addition of 500 MW of new solar generation, supported by a $950 million investment, now delivering energy to customers across the state. The three facilities include the 200 MW Huck Finn Renewable Energy Center, 150 MW Boomtown Renewable Energy Center, and 150 MW Cass County Renewable Energy Center, together capable of powering approximately 92,000 homes annually. The Boomtown and Cass County facilities are part of Ameren’s Renewable Solutions program, which allows participating organizations in Missouri to increase renewable energy usage and receive renewable energy credits. Ameren is also advancing efforts to ensure energy reliability with plans for the Castle Bluff Energy Center, an 800-MW natural gas plant expected to be operational in 2027, representing a $900 million investment.
