Akuo Group has launched a €1 million crowdfunding campaign through “AkuoCoop by Lendosphere” to support four solar plants in Thessaly, Greece. These plants, operational since 2023, generate 6.3 GWh annually, powering 570 households and cutting 2,100 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly. Covering 8 hectares, the solar farms include Tsairia, Zappeio 1024, Zappeio 1008, and Foniades. Interested European citizens can invest starting from €100 via the AkuoCoop platform, aiming for substantial social and environmental impacts endorsed by the Akuo Foundation. This initiative aligns with Greece’s National Energy and Climate Plan, targeting 80% renewable energy by 2030, with further plans to expand to 500 MW capacity in collaboration with the Thessaly Region.
