China-based AIKO, a BloombergNEF Tier 1 solar manufacturer, has expanded its partnership with Germany-based Greenman Energy, a leader in sustainable energy solutions. Building on their previous partnership on Berlin’s Biesdorf Centre, Greenman Energy acquired an additional 3 MW of AIKO’s high-efficiency n-type ABC solar modules. Greenman Energy previously installed 1.5 MW of AIKO’s 465 W ABC modules on Biesdorf Centre, outperforming 440 W TOPCon modules by fitting more capacity in the same space. According to AIKO, these modules offer superior energy density, making them ideal for commercial and industrial spaces with limited roof areas. AIKO claims that over a 30-year lifespan, these modules will generate 19,658 MWh, reduce Balance of System costs by 4.9%, and deliver an LCOE of 0.027 €/kWh. Greenman Energy continues to integrate these latest solar technologies across its properties in Germany.
