AdventHealth, a faith-based health system, is boosting sustainability at its Florida headquarters with a PV project. Partnering with national solar developer ESA, the company will install 7,500 solar panels atop buildings and garages, along with solar canopies for parking areas and electric vehicle charging stations. This 3 MW project will generate 4,200 MWh annually, cutting utility reliance by a third and saving $20 million over two decades. Set for completion by 2024, it is touted as one of Florida’s largest corporate solar initiatives. AdventHealth aims to halve its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, in line with the US Health Sector Climate Pledge, leveraging on-site solar installations, virtual PPA, and community energy initiatives.
