Acciona’s first South African solar initiative

Acciona.org, the foundation of ACCIONA, has launched its first project in South Africa, installing a 19.8 kWp solar-plus-storage system at Bakerville Primary School in Gouda. Supported by ACCIONA Energía’s 138 MW Gouda wind farm, the system includes a 20.4 kWh battery, ensuring that more than 650 primary school students can attend classes without interruptions due to power outages. The Gouda wind farm can power 200,000 South African homes.
