ACCIONA Energía will construct a 412 MW PV project in Rajasthan, India, which is expected to be operational by 2025. The solar farm, ACCIONA’s largest in India, comprises 750,000 units of 545 W PV modules. It aims to generate 800 GWh annually, powering 840,000 homes while reducing 724,000 tons of CO2 emissions yearly. The project integrates ACCIONA Energy’s Social Impact Management initiative, supporting local education, welfare, and environmental programs. India has seen a 30-fold increase in solar capacity over the past nine years, with Rajasthan leading at over 18 GW by 2023-end, representing a quarter of India’s total utility-scale solar capacity.
