India-based JSW Renew Energy Thirteen Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for a 700 MW ISTS/STU-connected solar project. The PPA is set at a tariff of INR 2.59/KWh, and the project is expected to be commissioned by June 2026. This agreement brings JSW Energy’s solar pipeline capacity to 3.2 GW, out of its total locked-in generation capacity of 18.2 GW, which includes 7.7 GW operational, 2.1 GW under construction, and 8.3 GW in renewable projects. JSW Energy’s long-term goals include reaching 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030, as well as achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
