Standard Solar & Trinasolar partner on 5.7 MW Pennsville project

US headquartered Standard Solar, in partnership with Trinasolar Development Solutions LLC, has acquired a 5.7 MW solar project located on a closed landfill in Pennsville, New Jersey. The project is part of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) Community Solar Program, which seeks to expand access to renewable energy and promote community development through solar power adoption. The solar array is anticipated to generate around 8,000 MWh of clean energy annually. During construction, the initiative is expected to create local employment opportunities and generate long-term tax revenue for the community. Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in 2024, with the facility expected to become fully operational by late 2025.
