Jantzen Renewables sells Romanian solar projects to OMV

Romania-based OMV Petrom has finalized the acquisition of multiple photovoltaic projects in Teleorman County from Denmark-based Jantzen Renewables ApS. These projects, now ready-to-build, will have a combined installed capacity of around 710 MW. As per OMV Petrom, the sites have been approved by the Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments. The company projects these solar parks to generate over 20,000 GWh of electricity over 25 years. This output is anticipated to meet approximately 70% of Bucharest’s annual household energy needs. OMV Petrom has already secured national grid access, with operations expected to start in the second half of 2026. This acquisition is in line with OMV Petrom’s target of reaching 2.5 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2030.
