Nextracker opens 13-acre solar R&D hub in Hyderabad

Nextracker, a US-based leader in solar tracker solutions, recently launched India’s first Center for Solar Excellence (CFSE) in Hyderabad. According to Nextracker, the CFSE houses a 30,000-square-foot laboratory and solar tracker installations for hands-on training, supporting the full lifecycle of solar projects. The 13-acre facility aims to drive advancements in solar tracker technology while supporting India’s energy transition. Nextracker says it is collaborating with local partners, customers, and labs to develop and commercialize technologies, aligning with India’s Make in India initiative. The company claims that its products now contain 95% local content, with a 10 GW annual production capacity. Through its PowerworX Academy, the company plans to provide training to local engineers, enhancing expertise in tracker installation. Globally, Nextracker operates two additional R&D centers in Northern California and São Paulo.
