Catalyze completes 4.8 MW community solar project in New York

Catalyze, a renewable energy developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the US, has completed a 4.8 MW community solar project in Frankfort, NY. According to Catalyze, the initiative targets residential and commercial users, particularly low- and middle-income subscribers. The project utilizes New York’s Inclusive Community Solar Adder (ICSA), making solar accessible to disadvantaged groups. Catalyze claims the development revitalizes a brownfield site owned by Human Technologies, repurposing underused land. This is the developer’s 6th community solar project in New York. Catalyze is also developing a 79 MW community distributed generation (CDG) solar portfolio, backed by $100 million from New York Green Bank, advancing the state’s renewable energy goals.
