Indian solar giant Waaree excels in RETC report

India-based Waaree Energies Limited, the country’s largest solar PV module manufacturer, was recognized as the Overall Highest Achiever in the 2024 PVMI Report by US-based Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC). Waaree was the only Indian firm included in this prestigious report, which evaluates critical performance metrics like Thermal Cycling (TC), Damp Heat (DH), and Potential Induced Degradation (PID). According to RETC, Waaree excelled in multiple categories, especially in durability under harsh environmental conditions. The company claims strong performance in Bill of Materials (BOM) Verification and Incidence Angle Modifier (IAM). The award was presented during the RE+ event in Anaheim, USA. By June 2023, Waaree’s installed capacity reached 12 GW, as per the CRISIL report.
