RMC Switchgears awarded 41 MW solar power project in India

India-based RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for a 41 MW (AC) PV project under the RESCO model. The project is part of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 within the PM-KUSUM Scheme, aimed at providing solar power to agricultural feeders in Maharashtra. According to RMC Switchgears, the contract, awarded through competitive bidding and an e-reverse auction, enhances its renewable energy portfolio. The power will be sold to MSEDCL at a fixed tariff, approved by MERC, for 25 years. The company claims the project will be executed across designated locations in Maharashtra. RMC Switchgears is also targeting tenders exceeding 500 MW to reach its 1 GW goal.
