Standard Solar acquires 12.18 MW Colorado project

Standard Solar, a US-based firm, has acquired the 12.18 MW Wheeler Gulch Solar Project from Caerus Piceance, LLC. This acquisition integrates renewable energy within Colorado’s oil and gas sector. Developed by Caerus Piceance, the project encompasses 44 acres in Garfield County and includes around 22,000 solar panels. According to Standard Solar, the facility will generate 25 GWh of renewable electricity each year, supporting the Middle Fork compressor station and aiding in cost stabilization and reduced grid dependency. The project, set to be completed by year-end, will also connect to Xcel Energy’s grid. Garfield County’s Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved the installation. This project will produce enough energy to power approximately 2,200 average American homes annually.
