Sol Systems acquires 2 GW hybrid solar projects in Midwest states

US-based Sol Systems has recently expanded its clean energy portfolio by acquiring more than 2 GW of utility-scale hybrid solar and storage projects across several Midwest states. The acquisition stems from a collaboration with Tenaska, another US-based energy company, reflecting Sol Systems’ continued commitment to its Infrastructure + Impact strategy. According to Sol Systems, this strategy focuses on providing clean energy solutions and benefiting local communities. Each of the newly acquired projects exceeds 100 MW in capacity and is expected to become operational between 2028 and 2029. The company plans to take on the ownership and operation of these projects following their development. Tenaska will remain involved through the construction phase, continuing a partnership that has seen success in past initiatives, including Eldorado Phase I and Eldorado Phase II.
