Fraunhofer ISE supports US solar factory ramp-up

Fraunhofer ISE is playing a key role in supporting the expansion of the PV manufacturing sector in the USA, particularly through advanced production technologies like heterojunction and TOPCon solar cells. With a growing number of PV factories being developed, Fraunhofer is providing guidance on technology selection, product design, and factory ramp-up processes. One notable project involves Convalt Energy, which is building a fully integrated PV production facility in New York with a capacity of 7.5 GW.
