JSW secures 400 MW wind-solar hybrid project from MSEDCL

India-based JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has secured an additional 400 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under a greenshoe option in Phase III. According to JSW Energy, this new allocation increases the total capacity awarded to the company in this phase to 600 MW. JSW Energy’s locked-in generation capacity now totals 17.6 GW, including 3.2 GW of hybrid power. The company, which currently operates 7.5 GW, aims to expand its operational capacity to 10 GW by FY25. JSW Energy’s diversified portfolio spans thermal, wind, hydel, and solar energy sources, with a target of 20 GW capacity and 40 GWh energy storage by 2030. The company also aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
