Sunsure Energy, an Indian renewable power producer, has commenced supplying renewable electricity to Sandoz’s Navi Mumbai facility from its Solapur power plant. This supply is part of a solar open access PPA established between Sunsure and Sandoz last year. The project will help Sandoz to cut 26,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually and reduce its total direct emissions by 11%. Sunsure is set to deliver 32 GWh of renewable electricity to Sandoz each year, equivalent to powering 7,000 homes in India. Notably, Sunsure began supplying power almost two months ahead of schedule. With 500 MW of assets currently operational and 2.5 GW of renewable capacity under construction, Sunsure aims to achieve 5 GW globally by the end of 2028.
