TotalEnergies ENEOS, a France-based energy giant, has successfully installed two solar rooftop systems with a combined capacity of 2 MW in Thailand. The solar systems are installed on the industrial sheds of Japan’s NTN Corporation and Thailand-based NTPT Company Limited in Chonburi. According to TotalEnergies ENEOS, these systems, consisting of 3,450 solar panels, will generate around 2,700 MWh of renewable electricity annually, meeting about 15% of each facility’s energy needs. This initiative is anticipated to reduce carbon emissions by 1,620 tons of CO2 annually. TotalEnergies ENEOS has fully funded, installed, and will operate the systems under a 20-year PPA. NTN and NTPT will pay only for the electricity produced, with no upfront investment. NTN, a leading bearings and automotive components maker, and its NTPT joint venture supply critical semi-finished automotive products to the region.
