Singapore–based vertically integrated PV company Gstar has established a partnership with a Middle Eastern consortium led by UAE–based investment firm Siraj Group. The partnership, initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to develop a 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility featuring high-efficiency n-type technology. The consortium led by Siraj Group includes Galaxico and Stark Consulting. This agreement was set to be signed in mid-August, with construction expected to begin in November 2024. According to InfoLink statistics, the overall Middle Eastern photovoltaic market is expected to grow steadily, with demand potentially reaching 29 to 35 GW by 2027.
