Grand Sunergy powers 400 MW offshore solar project milestone

Grand Sunergy, a China-based leader in high-efficiency HJT technology, has energized the booster station for the CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan 400 MW offshore PV project, marking a significant milestone in China’s first large-scale deep-water offshore solar initiative. According to Grand Sunergy, the project spans 6.44 square kilometers in Laizhou Bay and includes 121 photovoltaic sub-arrays, with a rated capacity of 400 MWAC and installation capacity of 539.3274 MWDC. The project exclusively utilizes Grand Sunergy’s Seapower Series 210-132 double-sided, double-glass HJT solar modules, engineered to withstand extreme marine conditions. These modules feature 210mm HJT cells, UV-resistant films, and advanced butyl rubber edge sealing. The company claims that the additional glass coating layer and light-conversion films enhance both weather resistance and efficiency by converting UV light into usable energy.
