TPE and Nexamp commit $60K to Delaware communities

TurningPoint Energy (TPE) and Nexamp, both US-based, have collaborated on two 9 MW community solar projects in Delaware, expected to be completed by 2025. This partnership supports TPE’s $100 million investment in Delaware’s community solar sector, with TPE overseeing the project development and Nexamp managing long-term operations. The solar projects will offer Delmarva Power customers reduced electricity bills, with 15% of the capacity dedicated to low-income households. These projects aim to help Delaware achieve its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Annually, the projects are expected to generate 14,490,000 kWh, which is equivalent to removing 2,409 gas-powered vehicles from the road. Over 1,080 residential customers will benefit from bill discounts through Nexamp’s initiative. Additionally, the partnership is set to create jobs, support local businesses, and contribute $60,000 to charitable causes.
