Doral’s Mammoth North Solar begins operations

Philadelphia-based Doral Renewables has announced the upcoming start of commercial operations for its Mammoth North Solar project, a significant part of the larger 1.3 GW Mammoth Solar complex. According to Doral Renewables, the 400 MW Mammoth North Solar project will be the largest solar installation in Indiana, capable of providing sustainable energy to 75,000 households annually. The plant also serves as agrivoltaic plant, utilizing over 1,500 sheep for grazing managed by local farmer Billy Bope for sustainable vegetation control. The celebration event included Indiana’s Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg, landowners, and representatives from SOLV Energy, Nextracker, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the American Clean Power Association (ACP), and other industry leaders. It uses American-made components from Nextracker and has SOLV Energy as its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) provider.
