Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has announced new partnerships with CleanPeak Energy in Australia and Ecotricity in New Zealand to supply 100% renewable energy. Six year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CleanPeak Energy will begin on January 1, 2025, for IAG’s Australian sites. IAG Australia has also partnered with the Grong Grong Solar Farm in New South Wales, which will cover approx.. 20% of its energy needs. These agreements are part of IAG’s broader strategy to decarbonize operations and extend renewable energy solutions to its claims supply chain, including Motorserve and RepairHub. Through these initiatives, IAG aims to support the transition to a low-carbon economy and promote sustainability practices with a goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
