RECOM and Solar Optimum partner for largest solar carport in California

RECOM Technologies has partnered with Solar Optimum to supply PV modules for a project at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. This initiative, California’s largest single-site commercial carport renewable energy project, will feature a 12.37 MW solar carport system at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles. The system will cover the main guest and employee parking lots and is designed to offset 100% of the park’s energy usage. The project utilizes RECOM Panther modules. The Panther modules are designed with Bifacial Half-Cut technology and comes with a 25 year warranty. Once operational, the system is expected to generate 20.8 million kWh annually, equivalent to powering 2,874 homes, and will offset CO2 emissions comparable to removing 3,182 cars from the road each year. This project will be the largest solar initiative for a for-profit organization in the U.S.
