Nautilus Solar Energy and TurningPoint Energy have partnered on a 29.3 MW portfolio of community solar projects in Illinois. The collaboration, aimed at supporting Illinois’ renewable energy goals, includes four projects in Kankakee and Livingston counties, slated for operation by 2025. Nautilus will own and manage the projects, benefiting over 3,000 homes and 100 businesses served by ComEd. This initiative aligns with Illinois’ target of 40% renewable energy by 2030 and 50% by 2040. The projects will create jobs and foster local business partnerships, with TPE committing $75,000 in community donations, matched by Nautilus. The endeavor marks TPE’s $500 million investment commitment to Illinois’ community solar market.
