Midsummer, Swedish solar energy company has announced an exclusive collaboration with Kaisheng New Energy Technology, a prominent Chinese manufacturer of thin film solar panels. The partnership aims to introduce thin film solar roof panels tailored specifically for the European market. These panels are based on a similar but slightly different CIGS thin film solar cell manufacturing technology developed by Midsummer, ensuring adherence to Midsummer’s certifications and quality assurance standards. Midsummer will hold exclusive distribution rights for these panels across Europe. Marketed as BOLD S, the panels target commercial and industrial buildings with weak or large flat roofs. The collaboration also includes plans for joint technology and material development to enhance product functionality and production efficiency.
