ELM Microgrid and ELM Solar have announced the opening of their 125,000 square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in The Colony, Texas. This occasion promotes American innovation to cater to the rising demand for resilient energy solutions among commercial and industrial clients. The facility initially created 70 jobs, with plans to expand to 150, focusing on microgrid and solar thermal technology. Notably, it introduces ELM’s second-generation battery energy storage system (BESS) to fortify critical infrastructure. ELM has also announced to manufacture Naked Energy’s Virtu solar thermal technology on-site. ELM emphasizes American-made products, supporting local supply chains and manufacturing. This facility, alongside its Oklahoma site, aims to produce 1,000 microgrid units annually, with plans to handle all North American Virtu solar project manufacturing domestically, targeting 150,000 collectors by 2028.
