Nova Clean Energy has acquired HyFuels, a portfolio of over 1 GW mid-to-late-stage wind and solar projects and a green ammonia project in Calhoun and Victoria counties, Texas Gulf Coast, aimed at serving the petrochemical industry. HyFuels spans about 25,000 acres, evenly split between wind and solar power. The project is set to begin operations in 2026 after initial development phases commence in 2025. Nova has acquired HyFuels from BNB Renewable Energy and established a long-term development agreement. Nova and BNB have collaborated since mid-2023 to advance the HyFuels project, including environmental assessments and grid connection planning. Nova’s project pipeline surpasses 5 GW across 8 states and various power markets.
