AmpIn Energy Transition (formerly Amp Energy India) has launched a 100 MW (135 MWp) solar farm in India to offset Amazon Web Services’ energy usage. This project, located on 580 acres in Bhadla, Rajasthan, became fully operational in December 2023. Bhadla is one of three solar farms Amazon has invested in within Rajasthan, totaling 420 MW, with three more in development across India, amounting to 500 MW, along with a 198 MW wind farm. Additionally, Amazon has numerous on-site solar deployments at its facilities and warehouses. AmpIn has 1 GW of utility-scale renewable energy projects in development in Rajasthan and has previously signed an energy deal with Nxtra.
