Voltalia, a global renewable energy company, has initiated the construction of a 49.9 MW PV power plant in the southeastern region of the United Kingdom. Scheduled for completion in the latter half of 2025, the Paddock project aims to cater to the energy needs of approximately 14,385 average UK households annually while reducing CO2 emissions by over 35,681 tonnes per year. The electricity generated will be distributed through long-term contracts with corporate buyers. This endeavor adds to Voltalia’s existing portfolio of seven solar and storage facilities in the UK, boasting a collective capacity of 260 MW.
