Enel Colombia’s El Paso Solar Park in Colombia recently commenced commercial operations, adding 67.92 MW to the national grid. The project had an initial installed capacity of 86.2 MWdc and was first energized in 2018. It underwent a 13.3 MWdc expansion to a total capacity of 99.5 MWdc in 2023 to meet regulatory standards. Contributing 24% of the solar energy to the National Interconnected System, the park has provided over 724 GWh since inception. Situated in El Paso, Cesar, the 240-hectare park boasts 274,320 panels, generating 203.5 GWh/year, enough for 290,000 people. Notably, the project created nearly 500 local jobs during its expansion.
