British International Investment (BII) and Idemitsu Kosan (IKC) have jointly invested in Skye Renewables Energy Pte Ltd., a South East Asia-focused renewable energy platform. Skye, established in 2022, develops solar projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in the region. This investment aims to support the region’s sustainability goals by scaling up Skye’s solar capacity to over 300 MW in the coming years. Governments in South East Asia have introduced supportive policies to accelerate clean energy deployment in the C&I sectors. These efforts are anticipated to annually prevent 270,000 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the electricity usage of over 47,000 homes.
