Tata Power completes massive PV-storage project

Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, commissioned India’s largest PV storage hybrid project in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, according to TPSSL, comprising a 100 MW PV Project and a 120 MWh Utility Scale storage. Securing a ₹ 945 crore EPC project from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. in December 2021, TPSSL overcame challenges like hard rock soil conditions and remote location to complete the project on time, employing 239,685 Bifacial Mono Crystalline modules. The project aims to annually generate 243.53 million units of energy and reduce carbon footprint by 4.87 million tons over 25 years.
