Excelsior Energy sells 38 solar projects to BlackRock

Excelsior Energy Capital, a renewable energy infrastructure investor, has sold 38 solar energy and solar plus storage projects from its Fund I portfolio to BlackRock’s Evergreen Infrastructure Partners. This is Excelsior’s first exit from its inaugural fund, which was launched seven years ago with investments in solar, wind, and battery storage projects across 10 US states, generating over 3,000 GWh of renewable energy annually. The portfolio, with a total nameplate capacity of 89 MWDC, consisted of operational solar and battery storage distributed generation projects, forming a distinct sub-portfolio within Excelsior’s Fund I.
