Atlas Renewable Energy, a global renewable energy leader, secured a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Codelco, the world’s largest copper producer. The deal involves supplying 375 GWh of 24/7 renewable energy annually from a new Chilean project with integrated battery storage, starting in 2026. The agreement is the result of Codelco’s public tender, which was awarded to Atlas and marks Atlas’ entry into the battery storage business.
