Visaka Industries announced that its ATUM Solar Roofs have received ALMM certification from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The certification was granted under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by MNRE. It includes solar PV models and manufacturers eligible for government programs, open access, and net metering projects. Visaka Industries produces integrated solar panel roofing under the ATUM brand, combining the functions of a traditional roof with renewable energy generation. The company operates in three verticals: building products (asbestos and non-asbestos boards and panels), textiles (synthetic fiber yarns), and solar roofing products. It is also a major producer of asbestos cement sheets (ACS) in India.
