Omkareshwar Floating Solar Park reaches 278 MW capacity

Omkareshwar Floating Solar Park (FPV) has reached 278 MW commissioned capacity, progressing toward its total planned 600 MW. The project is India’s largest floating solar project and is located in Madhya Pradesh. The park is being developed at a cost of ₹330 crore (~ $38.4 million) and is supported by ₹49.85 crore (~ $5.8 million) in Central Financial Assistance. The project is anticipated to generate 4,600 million units of clean energy over 25 years, once it is completed. Developers include Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, NHDC Ltd, AMP Energy Green Pvt Ltd, and SJVN Ltd. The project was highlighted during Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s visit on January 4, 2025.
