US-based Primergy Solar LLC announced its 100 MW (AC) Amazon Solar Farm Arkansas – Prairie Mist is fully operational in Ashley County, Arkansas. The project delivers solar energy under a PPA with Amazon and a 20-year capacity contract with North Little Rock, powering approximately 22,000 homes annually while reducing reliance on carbon-emitting resources. Primoris Renewable Energy managed construction, creating 200 jobs and $10 million in expected tax benefits for Ashley County. Community contributions include an ADA-accessible playground at Hamburg High School. Financing of $300 million was secured in 2023 with debt led by SMBC and tax equity from PNC Bank.
