Edify Energy secured support for 300 MW PV projects in Queensland

An Australian renewable energy company, Edify announced that its Ganymirra and Majors Creek Solar Power Stations near Townsville, North Queensland, have been awarded a Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement by the Federal Government. These projects will deliver 300 MW of clean energy by 2028, including 360 MW of solar and 300 MW / 1,200 MWh of battery storage. They will power 120,000 households and feature advanced hybrid technology with grid-forming inverters for stability. The projects will create 420 construction jobs and 30 operational roles while injecting $450 million into the local economy, benefiting First Nations businesses and supply chains. Located on Bindal People’s traditional lands, they will support Australia’s renewable energy goals.
