AboitizPower activates 173 MW Calatrava Solar Project

Philippines-based Aboitiz Renewables Inc. (ARI), the renewable energy arm of AboitizPower, launched the 173 MW Calatrava Solar Project in Negros Occidental, its largest solar facility to date. The project, supported by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, was energized through the Calatrava substation. It marks ARI’s fifth operational solar plant and is part of the 512 MW of renewable projects activated by AboitizPower in 2024, including solar, geothermal, and battery energy systems. The company aims to achieve a 9,200 MW portfolio by 2030, with at least 50% from renewable sources.
