India-based Mahindra Group’s Mahindra Susten announced that its subsidiary, Martial Solren, has secured a term loan of INR1,448 crore (~$17.56 million) from HDFC Bank and Axis Bank to fund its 560 MW solar power projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. These projects are being developed under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with key off-takers. Once operational, the projects are expected to generate approximately 9 lakh MWh of solar energy annually, offsetting about 8.19 lakh tones of CO2 equivalent emissions and providing clean energy to roughly 1.8 lakh households each year.
