Automa, a Brazil-based technology firm specializing in electricity sector efficiency, is expanding into Europe. In November, it will establish a base in Porto, Portugal, to support renewable energy operators across the continent. The company claims to manage 40 GW of renewable energy in Brazil. Over the past three years, Automa has achieved over 40% annual growth, spanning solar, wind, hydro, energy storage, and substations. In 2024, Automa will implement its solutions in five PV plants owned by EDP Renewables: four in France and one in Poland. Automa reports completing 1,000 projects, 50 operation centers, and 200 substations globally. Its technologies, such as SCADA and SunOp, are anticipated to increase energy generation by up to 5%.
